Summary: I can't help myself. Here's another commercial for the ficticious sports drink introduced in the Learning, Leather, and Love series.
Resurge Commercial--Sports Bullies
by Scribe
(High shot, looking down on a beautiful green urban park) (Camera moves in as Narrator speaks)
Narrator: "They're everywhere that sports are played. The jocks. The 'cool kids'."
(We follow five couples--humans and dogs. Man and Doberman. Man and Pit Bull. Man and German Shepherd. Man and Bull Dog. Woman and Golden Retriever.) (All the humans are dressed in modified sports uniforms--baggy shorts and tank tops, expensive athletic shoes) (They are playing Frisbee with the dogs)
Narrator: "Sure, they're good. And they know it."
(Montage of the people throwing Frisbees, and the dogs leaping and catching them) (They never miss, not even the Bull Dog, though his owner throws low for him) (The entire group, canine and human, exudes smugness and self congratulation)
Narrator: "And they never let anyone else forget it."
(One lonely, scruffy little mutt is sitting on the sidelines) (One of the dogs walks by, probably the Doberman) (Pauses in front of mutt, glances down at him, snorts, walks off) (Mutt hangs his head)
(Owners and dogs are lined up together--owners in back, dogs in front) (Boy, do they look obnoxiously arrogant)
Narrator: "But it's the nature of the beast that every top dog eventually gets challenged."
(Camera is positioned across the green from the original group) (Another group starts to walk toward them, coming from behind the camera) (You see them only from the back) (Four women, one man, with the man in the middle. Wow, he's big. Built like a linebacker. You get the impression that this is the coach, or the inspiration that's leading them to victory) ('Underdog' music is playing. You know what I mean, the music they play when the under rated team is marching out to face overwhelming odds) (They all have Frisbees fixed in back, hanging on their belts, bumping their butts)
(Medium shot on original group, watching the others come. Their expressions are neutral) (Shot from behind second group. It looks like they all have their arms crossed in defiance)
(Camera does a quick swing around, coming up to shoulder level) (Camera moves down the line slowly, focusing on each person. They look grimly determined.) (One of the women is wearing black rimmed harlequin glasses. One of them is a teenager wearing way too much make up and chewing gum)
(Camera pulls back to show them from the waist up) (They aren't just standing with their arms crossed--they're all holding cats. Except the man--he's holding a miniature Chihuahua. It's trembling) (Cut back to the first group. They ALL look amused, dogs and humans. You know how dogs can look like they're grinning) (Some owners laugh--we don't hear it, just see it--and point)
(Back to second group. As one they bend and put their pets on the ground. When they stand back up the camera remains fixed on the pets) (Camera cuts back to line of dogs. They look like they're laughing) (Cut to line of second group. Cats have their ears back and are lashing their tails) (Camera cuts back to second group of owners. They're standing at attention. One after the other, in a wave, each owner whips the Frisbee from behind their back and holds it ready) (Close up of Golden Retriever, looking amused) (Close up of Chihuahua. He squints, then bares his teeth and growls shrilly) (Cut to Retriever, looking startled, with maybe a little yip thrown in).
Narrator: "Fight the odds. Challenge the champions. Perhaps you won't wipe them out the first time..." (All the people in the second group throw their Frisbees) (Slow motion montage of the cats running, leaping, flying for the Frisbees, paws outstretched)
(One cat flys past his Frisbee)
Narrator: "Not everyone will succeed."
(Another cat is bonked on the head by a Frisbee)
Narrator: "And it may be a little painful.)
(One of the cats is shown laying on the ground, paws wrapped around the Frisbees).
Narrator: "But some of you will make gains, and some of you..." (Pause while music swells)
(Quick cut. One cat and the Chihuahua are sitting there with Frisbees in their mouths)
Narrator: "Some of you will triumph!"
(Cut to line of first group, looking stunned. The Bull Dog keels over in a faint)
(The second group scoops up their pets, the Chihuahua still keeping the Frisbee in his teeth as the man lifts him over his head, and they all march away to the strains of 'We Are the Champions')
Narrator: (As the picture fades out) "Resurge--because there's a champion in all of us."

( Chapter One )

Well, when I made the introductory post to this list, I... uh... *prodprodprod* No, Jayce, I am not backing out. Just let me talk, okay? Colby, please distract Jayce--kiss him stupid. Thank you.
When I introduced my major original pairs, I forgot one. *raises voice* And I'm deeply sorry! *checks to make sure Jayce and Colby have noticed* *they're still kissing* They're busy, so I'll tell you a little about them.
So far Jayce Braddock and Colby Morris (AKA Morris Colton) have appeared only in two stories in my Pointless, Pandering Porn series. And they're the boys who made the title of the series inappropriate when they insisted on having strong plot and characterizations instead of just smutty sex. Oh, they insisted on that, too, but not just that.
Jayce and Colby first appeared in Graduation Farewell and just recently I finished the sequel, Reunion. The series starts in the mid-80s, in a miniscule town called Barnbridge, Illinois. Colby and Braddock are high school senior, and best friends since the start of junior high.
Jayce is 'the all American, corn fed, whitebread, mid-Western teenage male'. He's six-one, headed for six-two or three, and built like the male version of a brick shit house. He has blue eyes and gold blond hair worn in an absolutely glorious mullet. Stop gagging--this is the eighties. Jayce is the Big Jock on Campus. He's captain of the baseball team, co-captain of the football team, and anchor on the track relay team. He's about as popular as you'd expect someone like him to be. Jayce has been raised by strictly religious parents (he was home schooled at first). Even though he's always been a 'good boy'--never giving his parents need to worry about such things as drinking or drugs--they still scrutenize his every act with mild suspicion, just assuming that all teenagers have a tendency to act up.
Colby is just about his opposite. He's smaller, and less sturdy, with dark hair and eyes. In fact, he looks a lot like Bronson Pinchot did when he starred as Balki Bartokomous in Perfect Strangers. He's not a bad athelete, but he's not a stand out. He tends more toward team manager and coach's assistant. He has a creative bent and works on the school newspaper, literary magazine, and yearbook. His family life is very different, too. His mother abandoned him at ten, and his father is a long haul trucker who leaves him alone for long stretches, and isn't too concerned with him when he's home.
Colby would have been a fringe student, if not for Jayce. Jayce goes nowhere that Colby isn't welcome as well. Thus Colby had an 'in' with the cool kids. Jayce is largely responsible for a lot of his socialization.
They're both going to go on to interesting lives--Jayce in professional sports, Colby in Hollywood. I'm not going to say any more. After all, I've already written the stories, so there's no reason for me to rewrite them.
*Looks over* *Yells* Get a room, you two!

Somewhere in the Learning, Leather, and Love series a company called Resurge is mentioned several times. It was a story or two before I decided exactly what Resurge was, since I hadn't yet decided exactly what it was that William did for a living. I finally decided that Resurge was a sports drink, and the company was working on developing a version specifically for diabetics.
I also mentioned that William was instrumental in coming up with an advertisement for Resurge that ran in the prime commercial spot of the Super Bowl. Then I thought 'What could he have come up with that would get on at the Super Bowl?' The Super Bowl is notorious for cutting edge and/or hilarious commercials. This is what I came up with. It was so much fun I may do others in the future.
Formatting: (Is for things such as stage direction and camera angles) *actions* "Speech", and plain text is written text.
Resurge Superbowl Halftime Commercial--Cat Olympics
by Scribe
(Screen begins black, then text appears)
Through the years the sports arena has been a leading place where prejudices are defeated.
(Montage of stills of all different sorts of athletes, all races, sexes, and ages, including disabled athletes and Special Olympic athletes, all striving and triumphing, is flashed behind the text)
Some day one of the last great prejudices--speciesism--will fall in the greatest sports competition of all.
(Olympic rings appear on screen, accompanied by the Olympic theme. Must be very stirring) (Music of some sort will play through entire commercial, till pause after high jump)
(Clip of the entry parade of Olympic athletes, looking very smart in their team uniforms.) (Camera moves in for medium shot, from shoulders up as they pass by, smiling at the camera) (suddenly there's a gap in the line) (camera drops down) (it's a cat, marching along in line, wearing little team hat). (Quick shots of several different nationality teams, each with their own cat athletes, dressed in modified team uniforms)
(On the track, athletes in track uniforms are getting in position for a race. One athlete looks down and to side) (camera follows his gaze) (there's a cat, doing that back leg stretch) (shot of starter lifting pistol) (back to cat, who goes into a crouch, butt wiggling, head down)(back to athlete) (gun goes off, and he pounds away down the track, straining) (shot on his legs pumping) (cat streaks past him, looking like he has all four legs off the ground at once)
(Shot of medal awards podium) (cat is in first place, having gold medal hung around his neck) (other athletes are to sides for silver and bronze, looking either amazed or pissed) (As American anthem is played, cat sits up on hind legs, waving paws)
(Shot of field events) (close up of hammer on grass) (hammer is approached by beautiful Russian Blue cat, which sniffs at handle) (shot of three athletes, at least one or two of them Americans, looking down and over, obviously watching cat) (they look amused, chuckling) (suddenly look surprised) (heads rotate, as if watching something spin) (whooshing sound) (their heads whip to the side, as if watching something fly)
(Another shot of the medal podiums) (This time the Russian Blue cat is receiving the gold, and the Russian anthem plays) (Silver and Bronze winners look absolutely stunned)
(Shot of high jump area) (American athlete is getting pep talk from coach) (American athlete spends a few seconds checking height of bar, pacing off distances, stretching, etc.) (Athlete gets set) (Athlete sprints!) (Athlete leaps) (As athlete soars upward, quick cut...) (to ground level view of landing sandpit) (suddenly what looks like a hundred cats of all sizes and colors--chirping, mewing, and purring--boil up out of the pit and scatter everywhere, some of them pausing a split second to shake sand off their feet)
(Camera back to high jump athlete, looking down) (He's seen what happened, and the pit) (eyes bug) (He seems to pause in mid-air, flapping his arms frantically, as if trying to fly) (He drops over the other side of the bar, into the sandpit) (Camera stays where it is, filming clear sky after athlete drops out of sight) *Thump* (Music stops) (Two seconds of dead silence, then what sounds like several thousand people at once. ) "Ewwwwwwww."
(Quick cut to athlete, very sandy and shaky looking, sitting on sidelines, looking stunned.) (Reachs down and picks up bottle of Resurge) (Opens bottle and takes a big swig, looking immediately more at peace, and energized)
"Resurge, for the athlete in us all."
(Quick shot of interior gym, men's gymnastics obviously in progress) (High shot of set of rings) (cat comes leaping up from below, paws spread, claws out, heading for the rings) (Shot freezes just before cat reaches rings)
"Because you never know what your competition will be."
(Resurge logo appears over picture)

I only have a couple more chapters of
Clean Sweep to go, so I decided to post the first story of one of my other original series. It's called the
Learning, Leather, and Love series--or 3L for short. This isn't the first of the 3L stories I wrote--that was
Bondage Bangquet--but once I wrote it I knew I had to make it into a series. I wanted to start right at the beginning of the relationship, so I write this story--
When Chase Met William.
Summary: Some people are just meant to get together.
